Eszter Adrienne Bakos
Eszter Adrienne Bakos is a researcher and resource coordinator with an academic foundation in psychology and a deep commitment to exploring the intersection of health, ecology, and well-being. With expertise spanning general psychology, health and medical psychology, and ecopsychology, her work bridges scientific research and holistic approaches to human flourishing.
Between 2014 and 2019, she served as a research assistant at Pázmány Péter University, contributing to studies in general psychology. In parallel, she was involved in research at the University of Pécs between 2018 and 2019. Her research portfolio includes a pilot study on the health benefits of ecofarm immersion for European Solidarity Corps volunteers, which was featured in the 2019 project report. Additionally, she led a pilot study in 2019, conducting interviews with South-Slavic folklore group participants in Southern Hungary to investigate the impact of traditional and folklore community activities on well-being. The pilot study inspired continued research on the health benefits of participating in folklore activities.
She is completing a track in Health and Medical Psychology at Leiden University and is currently pursuing specialized training in Ecopsychology Counselling at the Hungarian Ecopsychology Institute, further solidifying her expertise in integrative and nature-based therapeutic approaches. She also completed a training in herbal medicine.
She has been part of FAIM since 2022, contributing her skills to research initiatives, supporting interview processes, gathering and analyzing data, collaborating on scientific publications, and shaping the content. Her background in EU-funded youth projects, training, and mentoring has equipped her with a diverse skill set, particularly in supporting group dynamics, facilitating soft skills development, and leading bodywork workshops.
She has participated in numerous European Solidarity Corps trainings focused on holistic well-being and sustainability in Sweden, Ireland, and Slovenia, including a TCA training in Budapest.
Passionate about sustainable living and ancestral wisdom, she actively explores and exchanges knowledge on permaculture farming, traditional and folklore medicine, foraging, herbalism, wilderness survival, and natural building techniques. Her work is driven by a profound belief in the power of nature, community, and traditional knowledge to restore health and well-being.
